PEER-ASSISTED STUDY SESSIONS
Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) are informal study sessions led by a senior student. Although they focus on PHYS 157/158, they’re run by extremely knowledgeable people who will be able to answer chemistry and math questions as well! Check out their website here or visit their Facebook group.
If you’re a first or second year student, AMS Tutoring can help you with coursework, assignments, exam reviews and much, much more. AMS Tutoring is staffed by UBC students who are outstanding academics and approachable people. While they won’t do your homework for you, they will make sure you have the skills and support you need to tackle your work confidently.
During the school year, drop-in group tutoring sessions happen every week from Monday to Thursday in various locations around campus. Check out the AMS Student Nest, Hennings, Henry Angus, Buchanan, Tutoring-In-Residence at Place Vanier and Totem Park to find the academic support you need. For more information, visit their website: http://www.ams.ubc.ca/services/tutoring/
MATH LEARNING CENTRE
The Math Learning Centre (MLC) is a place for undergraduate students to study math together, with support from graduate student tutors. This is a great place to go if you don’t understand a concept or need help with one of your WebWork questions! For hours and more information, visit their website: http://www.math.ubc.ca/~MLC/
