UBC Rec Events
Want to participate in a UBC Rec event? You can earn Sports Points! We try to get a team of Engineers out at all the major Rec events – Longboat, Great Trek, Water Wars, Gladiator, Storm the Wall… Don’t forget to sign the online waiver before your first day of play!
If you form a team with at least 75% Engineers you are eligible for a reimbursement. Fill out the Sports Subsidy form and get your money back! (applies for leagues AND events)
This year, we’re going for the Triple Crown. Triple Crown is a faculty against faculty competition run by UBC Rec, with 3 major events during the year: Longboat, Great Trek and Storm the Wall. Engineers last won Triple Crown in the 2018-19 academic year. It’s about time we brought the title back where it belongs. Contact vpstudentlife@ubcengineers.ca if you are interested in repping Engineering and helping us conquer the Triple Crown challenge.
Don’t have a team but want to get in on some Sports action? Contact your Department Club's sports representative and they will get you sorted. Are you a first year, or just not sure who your sports rep is? Our wonderful Sports Managers can help.
