Thomas is in charge of all things EUS, and supports the EUS Executive in all of their endeavours. He oversees all internal matters for EUS Volunteers and EUS Council, and is responsible for EUS elections, referenda, and policy.

Volunteers

Roles involving the management and organization of EUS Volunteers

  • The Volunteer Director organizes recruitment and scheduling of EUS volunteers for many major events throughout the year. They are also responsible for building community, handling concerns, and ensuring positive experiences for the volunteers.

  • The Volunteer Experience Manager works with the Volunteer Director and President to compile feedback, respond to concerns, and ensure that the EUS is a welcoming environment for all of its volunteers.

  • The Volunteer Hiring Manager organizes recruitment of EUS volunteers, including scheduling interviews and updating the Volunteer Manual and any other relevant places of information.

  • The Society Manager maintains the EUS Society office (ESC 201-A) for use by all EUS Directors and Managers, and works to ensure that Society is a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • The Volunteer Appreciation Manager coordinates several annual EUS events aimed at recognizing volunteers, including All-Volunteer Appreciation, Volunteer Open House, and EUS Awards Night.

  • The Discord Manager maintains the EUS Volunteer Discord server.

EUS Council

Roles involved in EUS Council operations

  • The Council Director is responsible for coordinating food orders for EUS Council, ordering annual councillor gifts, and organizing the annual EUS Council social.

  • The Secretary is responsible for note-taking and documentation of EUS Council, Grand Council, and Student Advisory Council.

  • The Speaker presides over EUS Council and Grand Council, maintaining an organized, productive environment in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order.

Elections

Roles involved in the execution of EUS elections and referenda

  • The Elections Administrator organizes and coordinates EUS elections and referenda. They enforce fair elections and adherence to EUS Elections policy.

  • The Elections Promotion Manager organizes initiatives to increase awareness of ongoing EUS elections and maximize voter turnout.

14 Not Forgotten

Roles involved in the 14 Not Forgotten Memorial

  • The 14 Not Forgotten Manager organizes the annual 14 Not Forgotten ceremony in memory of the 14 women killed in the 1989 Ecole Polytechnique massacre. They work with the Faculty of Applied Science and the EUS President to select speakers for the ceremony and spread awareness about the memorial.
